Once we get a good replay, look in the background. One of the crew is definitely on fire around his head/neck and runs into the garage. Another crew member tries to put him out with a towel.

Ya the flame on the garage side was no joke. I would be shocked if there was only one crew member that got engulfed in flames after that.

Yup he was definitely on fire. I do think the fuelers are pretty well protected under the FIA rules with the headsocks and the full face helmets so he probably got off pretty easy there. Its a good thing NASCAR has now mandated all that equipment for their crew members after the pit fires at Richmond in April.

Thats good. There was probably minimal damage from the fire, I’m assuming it was fuel related, and they got it out quickly. I think they were more concerned about the extinguisher chemicals causing issues. Probably just needed to clean the car up a bit.
